I just purchased your product and like what I have seen thus far.

I have set the NeT Firewall start up to ‘Start Firewall engine on system start up’ and the service NTKernelService is installed and set to Startup “Automatic”, but I cannot get it to start and stay running. Why is that? It still seems like it is running and blocking, but nevertheless it is a concern that the service is not staying running.

I am running on Windows 2003 Standard Server SP1.

      Thanks,
      Sean

NTKernelService is only responsible for loading firewall settings into the driver during system start up. After doing this NTKernelService exits (in order to decrease consumed system resources). It is not necessary to have it running.

So the firewall is always running at the driver level?

Yes, firewall is always running at the driver level.
