Custom Driver Builds & Coexistence
Namespace Isolation
When shipping commercial networking software to thousands of enterprise endpoints, relying on default driver service names (ndisrd) can lead to conflicts if the end-user installs another application that also utilizes Windows Packet Filter.
A custom driver build uses a separate service name, device namespace, and driver GUIDs to avoid naming collisions with other WinpkFilter installations on the same system.
Developer to Source Code Upgrade
Fair Upgrade PolicyYou can start with the Commercial Developer License and upgrade to the full Source Code License whenever your engineering requirements expand.
The upgrade cost is simply the difference between the license tiers: $6,000 USD. Upgrades include complete kernel driver and user-mode library source code with modification rights.
Driver Signing
Custom driver builds are supplied for customer deployment and signing. Code-signing, Microsoft Attestation signing, WHQL/HLK certification, and production signing credentials are the customer's responsibility.
NT KERNEL can assist with driver-package preparation and the Microsoft signing workflow where practical, but signing or certification is not included or guaranteed as part of the license.
Maintenance & Support Renewals
Your perpetual license never expires. Optional maintenance renewals extend access to official software updates, new Windows OS compatibility releases, and direct technical support.
