      I am currently working on Passthru. It seems to me that Microsoft restricts on the name of service ( only Passthru is allowed ). because i have tested with another names but it does not work. I have followed the steps below to have passthru as mine.

      – Change virtual protocol service name in INF file
      – Change virtual miniport service name in INF file
      – Change device name in passthru.c
      – Change symbolic name in passthru.c
      – Change protocol name when registering protocol.

      Anyone here know how to do that, i will be thankful.

        No it does not. Basically the steps you did are correct, but probably you missed something.
