Internet Gateway 1.0This is a single threaded WinpkFilter based Internet Connection sharing solution provided with complete source code*. It implements simple TCP and UDP dynamic NAT, what allows you to share the single Internet connection over your home network providing the major Internet services (e-mail, WWW, FTP** and etc...). System requirements:Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista. Version 1.0 does not support WIndows NT 4.0 and Windows 95 because these operating systems miss GetAdaptersInfo routine from IP Helper API (it's used for obtaining IP configuration information). We plan to add support for these legacy operating systems in the future (getting the same information is possible but a bit trickier). How it works:Internet Gateway is user mode WinpkFilter based application, so please refer our premium packet filtering library documentation for the complete details. User-mode part of Internet Gateway also utilize IP helper API for querying IP address information from the system. Download:
How to install:Unzip and run the installer. You will have to reboot the system after the installation. How to use:Server setup:
Client setup: You have to configure systems in your home network by assigning IP's statically or using DHCP. Default gateway address and DNS address should be set to the IP of the Server network interface connected to the home network. In the sample above systems in the home network should have IP from 10.0.0.0/24 and DNS/default gateway set to 10.0.0.1. Disclaimer:Internet Gateway 1.0 is supplied AS-IS, without warranties of any kind. Price & licensing:Freeware for private (non commercial), or educational (including non-profit organization) use. NOTES: - Internet Gateway 1.0 does not support FTP NAT in active mode (data connection established from server to client), please set your FTP client to passive mode - For Windows Vista and later versions of the Windows family of operating systems, kernel-mode software must have a digital signature to load on x64-based computer systems. WinpkFilter drivers are not signed and in order to test them on Vista x64 you should press F8 during system boot and choose Disable Driver Signature Enforcement option. -Source code for the Internet Gateway application is available in WinpkFilter run-time libraries installation package | ||||
